Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals Pâtés for Cats are 100% Grain Free and Carrageenan Free. All of Grandma Mae’s Pâtés are low in ash, phosphorus and magnesium, and are “Uristic” – formulated to help prevent urinary tract infections.

Uristic is a word that means our cat food is optimized for long term urinary tract health. The amino acid DL-Methionine raises the acidity of urine, which helps break down urine crystals, in turn reducing inflammation of the urinary tract. Our canned cat foods cans contain 0.42% DL-Methionine, which is the equivalent of the 1.0% DL-Methionine in our dry cat & kitten formula when adjusted for the different amounts of wet food vs. dry food consumed while following our recommended daily feeding guidelines. DL-Methionine occurs naturally in our fresh ingredients.
